HACKED!!!!

My email has been hacked twice in the past two weeks. This seems to be happening to people all the time now. Luckily I have some old email addresses (that no longer work) in my contact list so I get notice that something sent was undeliverable. This morning I had 11 emails from the postmaster...Then I check my sent items box and there were tons of emails that I never sent.

So, if you get ANY emails from me with nothing but a link in them, DELETE THEM...please. I am so annoyed, and may be changing my address soon.

Fathers and Sons Outing 2010

I took Nathan to the Father and Son's outing this year.  It was his first time.  He had a blast running and climbing all over the place.  We had walkie talkies to keep track of each other for the few times I couldn't see him.  I was going to go to Winchester Hill's outing, but my dad invited us to Hurricane's so we went there.  He has a tent trailer so it was a step up from sleeping in a tent or the back of a truck (or van as we would have with Winchester).

Nathan will probably tell you the most exciting part of the trip was when we were about to leave there was a loud explosion that sounded like a shotgun.  It turns out it was a can of corn that was inadvertantly placed on the fire and exploded.  There was a line of corn on the ground about 30 feet long.  I'm glad Nathan didn't get hurt.  He said he almost had a heart attack.

We went to Little Creek Mountain just past Apple Valley.  The Hurricane wards go there a lot.

DIY Laser Hair System

I thought I'd do an update on what I've been working on for the last little while. Some of you probably don't know this, but shining certain lasers on your head will stop hair loss and even promote hair growth where you've lost it. I promise this is true. There are numerous studies to back this up. Anyway I wanted to do some preventative maintenance because I'd started to see signs of loss. I guess I'm a little vain and self-conscious. I decided to make my own laser system which is far cheaper than hair plugs. I made the frame at my dad's house out of scrap wood and I bought the lasers and power supply online. Here are some pictures:

The outer shell.

I taped on the pattern.

Me drilling the holes and a good "before" picture.

Spray painted black.

Pre-wired for the lasers.

The lasers arrived!

Nathan helping me assemble the system.

Yay! Daddy gets to keep his hair!

Looks complicated, but not really.

It works! (at least it lights up)

30 minutes every other day.

I know, I know, it's shines right on my forehead. I have a few tweaks to do for the next model.

Professional laser systems cost many thousands and they use the same lasers that I use. I didn't spend that much. I'm excited, are you?

P.S. the logo at the top is mine. I'm working on it.
