Me and HCG

Ok, I (Tyler) am on the HCG diet right now. I started on Dec 31. The first three days were pigout days which it just so happens were just like any other day for me, then it was on the strict diet. I'm taking the sublingual drops as opposed to the injections. I take the drops twice a day. For breakfast I can have coffee or tea. I choose neither of those and just have some water. For lunch it is either a chunk of beef or chicken with vegetables and 4 saltines. For dinner is is the same. In between breakfast and lunch and lunch and dinner I can have a small snack of an apple or orange. Monica has been making my meals and they have been very good. The only problem is there is far less than what I'm used to. The first week or so I was starving almost all of the time. Lately hasn't been so bad, but I'm anxious to eat more than 500 calories a day again.

I started with two bottles of HCG and was just going to finish the one bottle and then do the diet again later, but I changed my mind and want to finish both and try to maintain the weight I get to.

So the results so far...I started at about 210 and am now at 194. That's almost a pound a day on the actual diet! My belts are looser and I wore a suit on Sunday I hadn't worn in a few years.

Many of you that know me would wonder why I needed or wanted to go on a diet anyway and the answer was I just felt unhealthy and had some unsightly love handles. My goal is about 185-190. I should be there in about a week or so.

I won't post full body pictures, but here's one of my face and chins. When I post again I'll post one of my skinnier face.

By the way, when Monica and I met I weighed about 165 lbs. +/- 5 lbs. I started gaining before we were even married because I came over to eat so much.

Now I need to get back on p90x.

Crash!!!!

Last night we were laying in our bed, reading to Nathan, when our lamp decided to fall over.

Tyler bought me the lamp last Christmas. It was a nice floor lamp, with a dimmer, fluorescent bulb, that is supposed to be very energy efficient, not to mention that it cost about $50.

When it fell the shade and bulb shattered, and glass was everywhere! It even flew up on top of our bed. It was a huge mess. I am just so glad the kids weren't in the way when it happened.

I tried to contact the manufacturer today, but couldn't find any info. So I called Lowe's(which is where Tyler bought it). The manager said we could bring it in and exchange it for the same thing. Now we have a new lamp, and it better not fall over. It was seriously so scary.

And in case you were wondering~ we are getting settled, and the kids feel right at home here at my parents. After $300 and hours at the DMV we are now "official" Utah residents again. I am not sure how long we will be here, but so far it hasn't been that bad. Everything is cheaper here, so that has been nice. Our car and health insurance premiums are now more then 50% less. Oh and sales tax is 2% less too. Maybe I will have to do a pros and cons list for a post...

We Made It!

It has been a LONG and hectic week. Last Sunday after church we finished packing up all our gerb. In E.Q. they told them we were moving, and to come help Monday at 9am. We were all ready to load up at 9, and NO ONE CAME! I was pretty irritated. I took the kids, and ran to Lowe's to get something, and by the time I got home the Bishop's three sons were there. We were so thankful that they came. There is no way I could have helped move some of the stuff.

Tyler and my Dad had taken up 3 loads in the weeks before, and so we really only had our big stuff left. They stuffed as much as they could into the trailer, and of course it didn't all fit! So we put everything else in the garage, cleaned the house, and waited for the carpet cleaners. Tyler drove the truck and trailer, and I followed in the van...we could only go 65, and by the time we got on the road the kids we a mess, half naked, and crying....While I was cleaning Ava decided to squeeze all the milk our of her cup ALL OVER HER HAIR and clothes. Everything was in the trailer, so I had to wash her with Dawn, and try and find a new sweater. Then as we were leaving Nathan accidentally spilled this huge, freezing bottle of water all over himself. So he rode to St. George topless, luckily we had blankets for him to snuggle in. We got in at like 6, ate, and unpacked.

Tyler and my brother woke up the next morning, drove back to Henderson, and loaded up the last of our stuff. They got back too late to unload that night, so we started unloading the next morning, and of course it started snowing. We have decided to give away/sell a bunch of stuff before we ever move again.

We spent all day at the DMV Thursday, finished organizing (as much as is possible) and packing yesterday, so now we can relax a little while we figure out what to do. Let the job hunt begin.

We are here, safe, and healthy, and very much looking forward to this new year...

p.s. Christmas was great, the kids were spoiled, and the Christmas Dinner I made was so yummy. We stayed home and just did our own thing, which was really nice.
