Me and HCG

Ok, I (Tyler) am on the HCG diet right now. I started on Dec 31. The first three days were pigout days which it just so happens were just like any other day for me, then it was on the strict diet. I'm taking the sublingual drops as opposed to the injections. I take the drops twice a day. For breakfast I can have coffee or tea. I choose neither of those and just have some water. For lunch it is either a chunk of beef or chicken with vegetables and 4 saltines. For dinner is is the same. In between breakfast and lunch and lunch and dinner I can have a small snack of an apple or orange. Monica has been making my meals and they have been very good. The only problem is there is far less than what I'm used to. The first week or so I was starving almost all of the time. Lately hasn't been so bad, but I'm anxious to eat more than 500 calories a day again.

I started with two bottles of HCG and was just going to finish the one bottle and then do the diet again later, but I changed my mind and want to finish both and try to maintain the weight I get to.

So the results so far...I started at about 210 and am now at 194. That's almost a pound a day on the actual diet! My belts are looser and I wore a suit on Sunday I hadn't worn in a few years.

Many of you that know me would wonder why I needed or wanted to go on a diet anyway and the answer was I just felt unhealthy and had some unsightly love handles. My goal is about 185-190. I should be there in about a week or so.

I won't post full body pictures, but here's one of my face and chins. When I post again I'll post one of my skinnier face.

By the way, when Monica and I met I weighed about 165 lbs. +/- 5 lbs. I started gaining before we were even married because I came over to eat so much.

Now I need to get back on p90x.

My husband did the HCG diet last year. I think his regime was a little more strict. He had a list of a few options for his meat, veggies, and fruit. I don't know if you have the same thing...he received a whole little pamphlet from the doctor who gave him the prescription. Anyway, if you get tired of a med. sized apple or orange, you may want to try half a grapefruit, 6 large strawberries, or 3/4 cup of raspberries or blackberries. (not blueberries, for some reason...too high in starch?) Good luck with finishing!

WOW!!! That is amazing. Cory has been on a huge health kick since the new year also. He stopped drinking pop, has been eating very healthy, and working out every day. I can't believe that you have lost a pound a day. Very impressive...especially since it didn't look like you needed to lose weight to begin with. Way to go!!

We also received a ton of written material and stick to the list of allowed foods. Tyler has just been choosy when it comes to the items on the list...so he sticks to oranges and dried apricots, tomato, zucchini, bell peppers, beef, and chicken....sometimes I can get him to eat other veggies on the list depending on how they are cooked.

He has been SO disciplined, and we are all WAY proud of him!

Wow that is awesome! I am also proud of you, Monica. I had a hard time watching my hubby go through everything he went through on the diet. So, not only kudos to Tyler, but kudos to you too! Good luck with the rest of the "journey". :)

Dieting....BLECH. Better you than me! Too bad Monica's cooking is so divine. I don't know how I'd be able to give it up.
