Here are some pictures of the day. I know alot of them look alike, but I had such a hard time deciding. Melissa and Tyler's Dad took the great pictures.(THANKS!) You can read about the details below- It is kind of long, but the day was exciting and crazy, so you should read it.
Why does it seem like our family events are always WAY to eventful and even a little crazy???
Today we had Ava's Baby Blessing. My Mom was here with us all week helping get things ready and keeping me sane. She has a cold and I caught it from her. Nathan had it and it has mostly cleared now. And I thought it skipped me. But on Friday I could feel it coming on. Then yesterday it was kicking my rear. I looked like I had been punched in both eyes, and couldn't breathe without coughing. So this morning I medicated my self and got all ready for our first day of 9 am church. The morning went pretty smoothly, we even had enough time to bathe both kids before church (we usually bathe them the night before, but I was pretty much useless last night). Anyway we get to church, and are just hanging out. Then I realize the meeting is going to start in 5 minutes and my parents aren't there! So I call them, and they tell me where they are which is like 15 minutes away. I went up and told the Bishop, who said that we could just bless her after the Sacrament. Then 1/2 way through the Sacrament, Tyler notices that Nathan's nose is running and Nathan is starting to gag a little. Tyler gets out a tissue and says, "Here let's blow your nose..." I was like "NO! He is going to..." It was too late he immediately started dry heaving and so Tyler starts rushing out with him, and Nathan threw up down the aisle.(Nathan gags whenever he blows he nose and it is really thick, and alot of times he throws up, so I knew when he started blowing, that it was not going to end well) I make my Dad go clean up the puke and follow them out to make sure things are ok. So the Sacrament ends, and I am getting all nervous because Tyler isn't back yet. He ended up getting back in time, but man I was going NUTS!
Tyler gave Ava a beautiful blessing, and I am so grateful that he honors the Priesthood and was able to do it. It was so neat to see him with family and friends up there. I am such a lucky girl.
It was also Nathan's first day of Sunbeams and he did really well. I am sure it helped that his cousin Madelyn was there with him.
After church we had all our family, and the Smith's and Raymond's (who are practically family) over for a yummy lunch. My Mom and I worked hard yesterday so that everything would be easy today. We had burritos, rice, guacamole, and the trimmings, and then my Grandma Spendlove made the best chocolate sheet cake ever, and we had mini chocolate chip cupcakes.
Thank you everyone for coming and especially thank you to those who helped (Sarah- You are the BEST).
Oh and just so you know, the craziness didn't end at church. Once we got home Ava had a blow out and it got ALL UP HER BACK while she was still in the gorgeous dress that MY MOM MADE FOR HER!!! AHHHHH!!! Thank you Oxi Clean and Fels Naptha for helping me get it out...
It was a beautiful and eventful day, and I am just so thankful for my babies!

Sorry your day was so stressful!
Ellie had a blowout in her blessing dress to! Ellie's dress was made by her great grandma and had been in the family for quite awhile....so yeah. I was worried about it. But it turned out just fine and cleaned up nicely. I'm glad that Ava's did too. ;)
Oooo I love the picture of you holding Ava by the stairs! You looked fabulous even though you weren't feeling well. Thanks for having us all over for the special day.
I love all of the pictures. I especially like the one's with her hand in her mouth...so precious. Tyler did give such a nice blessing. So glad that we could be a part of your special day.
That is eventful, but alls well that ends well right! And it makes for a great story! Love the pics!
Wow! That's quite the story! I swear this stuff always happens to me too! I love her dress though, your Mom did a beautiful job!
Ava is the prettiest baby! I love her dress. And Monica, your hair is really cute!
I'm glad that everything worked out in the end. You all look great. Your mom did a great job with Ava's dress!!
She sure is getting even cuter. Your day sounded crazy it wouldn't be an important day if something crazy didn't happen right? Cute hair too.
Well with all the events that happened you will definitely remember the day!! Your kids are beautiful!!
What an amazing, but crazy day that was, Monica! I can't believe Ava's dress got poop all over it. And yes, I'm such a fan of Oxi Clean, too. It works likes magic! Nathan's self portrait is darling. What a big boy he is becoming!
What a crazy day for you. You have a beautiful daughter. My little boy has started to gag on his mucous, too. I may have a story like yours someday!!
