This may be a long post. For those of you waiting for Tyler's weight loss results you will have to wait until later...Tyler wanted it to be a separate post.
Ava has had a very hard last 3 weeks. We went to Tyler's parents, and Ava fell down an entire flight of stairs, she instantly had a black eye. We were on our way to Cedar, to play with the Yoders, that day and decided to still go up there, since Mark is a P.A., and could check her out while we were there. She seemed ok, and we were so glad she only got a black eye. A few days later she started getting a cold. I wasn't sure if it was from playing in the snow, or if she was just teething. Turned out to be both. She is cutting her canine teeth, three of them. The next few weeks were full of sniffles and such. Then last week she got really bad. I am pretty sure she had croup. She had a fever, was breathing extremely fast, and had the worst cough ever. I should have taken her to the doctor, but I didn't until a few days later. I couldn't stand it any longer. By the time we went her cough was not as bad, and she was breathing at a more normal, but she was still very fussy. Turns out she had a BAD double ear infection to go along with all of that.
Oh AND, the day before we took her to the doctor she got bit by my brother's dog...ON HER FACE! We are just very glad it didn't break the skin. She is much better now, thank goodness.
Nathan got sick the same time as Ava (a few days after playing in the snow). He was so super congested that he would choke on the junk and throw up. One night I went in to check on him and he was so hot, I had to wake him up and give him Motrin. The next few weeks he would get sick, the beginning of the week, then by Saturday night he would be much better, so he would go to church Sunday, then get sick again a day or so later. This has gone on the entire month of February. The weather has been weird here snow, then mid 60s, then more snow, then sun....So that could have been it. But I am thinking that it had more to do with people bringing their sick kids to church.
Poor kids.
I have been pretty healthy, and only got sick once. Which is surprising with how sick the kids had been. I look like I haven't slept in weeks- oh wait I haven't.
Tyler stayed healthy through all of this. Then a few days ago he started to get something. He said he feels fine, just has that annoying tickle that makes you cough.
I am SO READY FOR SPRING! I can't believe it is still so cold here. Nathan starts soccer in a few days, and I am not excited to go sit in the cold while he plays. Maybe it will be warmer next week.

Wow, we had the EXACT same thing at our house, ear infected babies and all!!! I'm glad all your little ones are feeling better, it is SO stressful, isn't it!
Man, I am NOT looking forward to moving back to Utah in a few years. We are harvesting salad greens in our garden right now. Snow is NOT my friend.
So sorry you're going through all of that. Get better soon.
I'm sorry playing in the snow pushed them over the edge! :( I hope this is the end of everyone being sick for a while.
This has been a VERY long winter for us, too. According to the weathermen, we're getting all the snow that northern Utah usually does--something like 163% more than normal. And more is forecasted for next week! Oh JOY!
Mon, I'm so sorry the kids have been sick. It's hard to be the mommy of sick kids. :( We've been very blessed not to be sick as much this winter. I haven't even had to call in a substitute for my preschool (yet). But when my friends' kids have been sick, I'll call them up and have them come over for a girls night. I just think you need one after all of that. If we lived by you, I would take you out to Cafe Rio TONIGHT so you could finally get a break, and Tyler could put the kids to bed. :) Miss you!
Sounds like crazy times. I am glad that you are all feeling better. Good luck!
Sorry you have had such a rough go of it. Sick kids is never any fun.
AMEN! We have battled with the same things here and I just want to get out of the house and do something fun. It's got to get better...right?
I think St. George has NASTY stuff. We've been SO sick this year and we never get sick. It's been AWFUL.
My kids had the same thing. So sad! Jocelyn would cough so hard she threw up once. Turns out she actually had bronchilitis too. She ended up getting a rash on day 8 from the amoxicillin becasue she is allergic to it. Oh gosh I so feel your pain. Seeing your kids that sick is seriously the worst! Hope they are all better now.
