Recital Time

Last week the kids had their dance recitals.

Ava's was a complete disaster... The entire time she has been in dance she has loved it, and never cried once. A few weeks ago she started getting really shy all of a sudden (not just at dance). Then the week before the recital they had pictures, and she cried FOREVER and wouldn't look at the camera. After a snack and some serious bribing she sat so pretty and the photographer kept telling everyone that hers ended up being the cutest pictures of the day! Ohhhh that girl.

So on Tuesday Ava's class did their little recital- it was just in the studio and all the parents were there. SHE WOULDN'T DO ANYTHING! Ugh. I was so bugged because she is such a little ham, and is always dancing around. Her teacher was so shocked because Ava was always right up front doing all the dances with her. I think that having all the parents right there just threw her off. She was not the only girl who refused to dance. But once they brought out the cookies  for the girls and their Daddy's she perked up.

Oh and get this, as soon as we got home she wanted to show me all her dance moves! She says she still wants to take dance so hopefully next year will be better...

Nathan's recital was on Saturday. He was so good! I got all choked up. He hadn't showed us anything so we were blown away. We are so proud of him and he can't wait to do hip hop again!

I am so proud of my kids, even if Ava didn't dance at her recital....

Tyler's sister, Meg was also in the recital. She is such a beautiful dancer!!!! I don't have any pics though!
