Time For a Recap (pictures galore!)

We had an exciting past few days.

On Wednesday we headed to Utah for Ava's 6 month check up. (She was 6 months 2 1/2 weeks old) She weighed in at 17 lbs 9 oz and was 27 1/4 inches long! She sure is a big girl.

Thursday we started the day out with family photos. We wanted to do some with just the four of us and then have the cute cousins all together. We had Tyler's Dad meet us there early so we could be done by the time Melissa got there to do the kids shoot. The kids did really well for the first part, but this is how we ended:

I am pretty sure I will have to frame this one!
After pictures the kids got to play at the park.  Nathan & Madelyn spent the entire day together, and the only time there were tears was when we left. They got along so well. That night Tyler and I went to see this Mentalist (thanks Sarah!). It was seriously so cool.  He was amazing.  After the show we got to go up and meet him. He bent a spoon with his mind like 2 feet away from me! The lights were on, and the spoon was from one of the tables from the dinner so there is no way that is was staged.

Friday Nathan had his first dentist appointment, and I am proud to announce NO CAVITIES! Totally pays to brush and floss daily (I am a bit of a freak about this kind of stuff...) He was so brave and let them do everything they needed to, he never made a peep! To celebrate we took him to the Dinosaur Tracks. He really enjoyed that.  Before we left in the morning, Nathan was on this little truck at my parent's house. He decided that he wanted Rico to be his horse. I was getting ready and I hear "Giddy up, Rico!" So funny- there are pics of it on the slide...

Saturday was Maria's bridal shower.  We are so excited for her and love her so much! There was quite the turn out, and everything was so perfect.  Melissa did a great job! Click here for more details on the shower... After the festivities we headed home.

It was a fun weeked, but I am glad to be home. (and glad to be being pampered today!)  At church they had a little print out with the program, with cute things kids in the ward said about their Moms.  Nathan's was on there. It was so cute to read what he thought. He also sang in his first Primary Program- I almost cried it was so cute.

You guys had so many cute family pictures! I still need to make you a CD of the ones I took. Sorry I didn't do it while you were here--things were a little crazy.

Thanks again for your help at the shower! So glad you came!
