Hey, Where's May?!?

Ok, so I have no idea where the month went!  I had been meaning to post, but I feel like we haven't been home at all.  We were gone the first week in May for appointments and parties, came home for about a week, then left for another 5 days. We get to relax for about a little bit, then it is back to Utah for Maria's wedding!  I am going to need a REAL vacation after this month is over, and maybe a massage... Here is a little bit of what has been going on: (Sorry if this post is a bit random, and rambly)

Last Tuesday Tyler's  sweet Grandma Nora passed away. She was just the sweetest ever! When I first met her and Grandpa I instantly loved them. They both knew how to make you feel so loved. Grandma had not been doing well for awhile, and we knew that she was going to go, but it was still hard. We are so glad that she is with Grandpa Wally now, but are sad that we won't be able to be with her for a long time.  We just kept thinking about the joyous reunion she had when she saw Grandpa again, and how she is now free of pain.

The family decided to have two  funerals, and we decided to go to both.  We left on Friday and the 8 hour drive took 10 with feedings, and stuff. The first funeral was on Saturday, then we had church Sunday, then Monday we had to leave by 6 am to make it to the 2nd funeral that was 3 hours away. After that funeral we had a 12 hour drive ahead of us. We decided to do half that day, spend the night in the middle of nowhere, and then go the other 6 hours. On the way home I decided to nurse Ava while she and I were both strapped into our seats, my back is still killing me from all the twisting, but I was just so anxious to get home.

Ava is now 7 months old, and not crawling yet. Yesterday we were watching home videos of Nathan, and it is just so crazy- He was crawling at 6 months, standing up, climbing, and walking with a walking toy at 8 1/2 months, and walking on his own by 11 months.  I am sure she will crawl soon enough, and really I am ok with her not being so mobile...that is when all the heavy duty childproofing starts...

And for those of you who are wondering how the new bridge over the Dam is coming along, I took some pictures while we were heading out of town, so here you go!

There's no franchise in Vegas and their business model is so intelligent it blows my mind.

Hey, I found your blog.Your on our list now. Gosh your kids are getting big. I think your little boy was just a baby the last time I saw him. They are both adorable! We're really sorry for your loss too. Even when you know it's coming it is still hard like you said.

I'm so glad you guys were able to make it to both funerals.

Little Ava is getting more and more beautiful. You're sure going to have to watch out for those boys lining up when she's 16!
