Spring Break- Day 2 & 3

So I forgot that I didn't post our entire trip in one post, so here is the rest of what we did on our trip.

Let me just tell you not being on a schedule/ having a set itinerary was fabulous. We had times we (roughly) wanted to be to certain places, but for the most part we were just so chill, which is rare for me. I feel like I am always on a schedule, and  that works great for us, but it was refreshing to just do what we wanted whenever we wanted....and to sleep in, and get to eat yummy, hot breakfast without having to cook or clean, and not having to make beds, or clean up the bathroom before we left....I really needed a break, can you tell!?!

Thursday we went to Hogle Zoo. The rain stopped in the night, but it was FREEZING, so we bundled up. The night before I was looking at all the travel pamphlets in the hotel and saw one for the zoo for $2 off per ticket. We planned to ride the carousel there so the lady ended up giving us $10 off our admission, instead of $6. I love saving money! The train wasn't running because of the rain, so we ended up spending $20 less then we budgeted for the zoo. Anyway the zoo was fun, and all the exhibits had heated areas, so it great! Oh and we practically had the entire zoo to ourselves.

After the zoo we took the kids to Temple Square, and walked around while Ava slept. It was fun to show Nathan all the cool things there. We took them to the Tabernacle and then over to the Conference Center so that Nathan could see where they have General Conference now compared to where they used to have it.

What the?!? Handicap Access??
FAIL!

Attempt At A Family Photo

Tyler & I took a picture in this same spot back in 2003, before we got engaged, but I can't find it!

After walking forever our feet were so achy so we grabbed a pizza, went back to the hotel, chowed down, then went to soak in the hot tub. We had the entire pool area  to ourselves and just soaked and relaxed. Tyler actually had to work that night so we went back to our room so Tyler could tutor. The kids crashed after their bath....look how cute!

The next day we packed up and drove to Payson to visit Tyler's Aunt & Uncle and their family, then headed home. We had a great time and can't wait for our next break!

Hahaah! Handicap access!?! That's one of the funniest pictures I've ever seen! I hear that zoo is fun...we'll have to check it out sometime. And those gorilla pictures are too funny! And scary at the same time...gorillas are just creepy! :)

I love your family picture attempt. Hahaha.....priceless memories!

We should all go to SLC again. But when the weather is decent (which probably won't be until July or so....). Trips are so awesome until you have to come home and unpack and try to get back to normal!!
