Side note....On the way up the mountain Nathan says, "Why is this place called Kolob? I thought that was the name of the star Jesus lives on?" Whoa! When we asked who told him that he said I told him did. But I am not sure I did. Anyway he is a smarty pants and we love him. A few minutes later I whined "Are we there yet?" And he said "Hey, I am supposed to be the one asking that!" Haha, love that kid.
We had been talking about taking them up there for quite some time, and were so glad that the guys both had the same day off. My grandparents have a "cabin" in Kolob. It is not rustic at all, pretty much it is house in the mountains, and I love going up there. When we got up there we just relaxed, ate all Grandma's treats (isn't Grandma's house the best!?!?!), ate yummy dinner, went for a walk/hike, and relaxed on the deck. Oh and we stayed up and played Farkel after the kids went to bed. I get silly when it is late and I am tired, and it was fun to have Maria to be silly with, she cracks me up!
Ava saw this baby horny toad on our hike and ran and caught it all by herself. That girl is fearless!
The next morning, after breakfast, we headed to the reservoir. We each brought our rafts and our fishing gear. I have never rowed in raft before so it was pretty hilarious to see. I was so sore. We didn't catch any fish but still had a great time. There was a fire up there and the big helicopters kept coming to get water from the reservoir. They were SO close to us (pretty sure they scared the fish all away) and we got sprayed with mist a few times. The day went too fast and we had to leave after lunch, but it was sure fun to get away for a little bit and spend some time with some fam.

The lake was so fun! I was crackin up thinking about all the funny times (watching you row your boat) and how giggly we were hahahahaha. We're so glad we were able to go!!!!!!
