Party Recap

Last Saturday Nathan had his friend party. He wanted an Air Force/water games themed party this year.  The kids all had so much fun. I put on the invitations that the party was only an hour and a half thinking I would be going crazy by the time it got over, but we actually ran out of time for some of the things we had planned.

The day before the party I made the cake, and like 20 paper airplanes....then we spent too much time the next morning filling up water balloons and preparing the food so my super awesome planes didn't get hung up like I wanted...I wanted them hanging from the ceiling so it would look like they were flying. The kids had a great time flying the planes around though.

We had little sandwiches that I cut out with an airplane cookie cutter, chips, fruit, and I made airplane candies using Wilton Candy Melts- these were a hit! After lunch the kids played squirt gun freeze tag- the kids loved that they got to keep the squirt guns (THANK YOU Walmart for $1 guns!!!), water balloon toss, and eventually just wanted to run through the sprinklers.

It was such a fun party, and we loved putting it on for our little buddy!

I can't believe you found jet shaped molds and cookie cutters! What a great cake--I am so impressed. My kids are probably never going to have that cool of a b-day party...
