Yes, I Know...Spoiled

I have gone a little crazy with the hot tub being gone. This week I gave away tons of (what I considered) garbage thanks to Craigslist. Here is what I got rid of:

A pile of rocks that didn't go with what we had.

Some brick pavers that were in the middle of our lawn.

And A HUGE stack of nasty wood! This is what was left from my Gazebo Demolishing Project.

So then I went to Star Nursery and bought some sod to put in place of the weird bricks in the lawn, and I bought a Modesto Ash for Tyler to plant for me. It has felt so good to get the yard looking nice. I know that we have been buying a lot, but we have also been able to pay in cash since we sold the hot tub, and from some weaves that I was able to do.

In an earlier post I said that I wanted to buy a patio set, but I decided to put that on hold for a little while. I still do want one, but I think it can wait. Instead, I FINALLY convinced Tyler that we really needed a swing set. I had been looking for a used one for so long, and never had any luck. Nathan has loads of energy, and I am tired of him watching so much PBS Kids. So I used the last of the hot tub money, and some of what I had in my "Mad Money" fund. We have a Toys R Us like 5 minutes away from our house, so I didn't have to have it shipped to us ( saved $200 just by going to the store- NICE!). We also got a super cute picnic table FOR FREE because of some promotion they were doing. I know Nathan is going to have so much fun on this baby.

Way to clean house, Monica! I love getting rid of stuff. And that swing set is going to be a lifesaver for you. Madelyn still loves to play on hers when the weather is nice. Now you need one of those self-contained sandboxes, an inflatable pool, and you'll be set for the summer!!

Sweet!!! I want to come play! I used to be able to swing so high. I wonder if I still have it in me. Your yard looks great, and I am so jealous of your grill.
